Todt delighted as FIA gains IOC recognition

The governing body of world motorsport, the FIA, has been recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
The IOC recognition is provisional for two years and the FIA has been invited to introduce, as soon as it is possible, an Athlete's Commission so as to make this recognition permanent. The IOC recognises over 70 other international sporting federations, including the FIA's motorcycling equivalent, FIM.
