The Finn hasn't driven an F1 car since he left the sport at the end of 2009 when he raced for Ferrari. The two-year-old Renault, rebranded in the Lotus colour scheme, was equipped with Pirelli's demonstration tyres which are of a much harder compound than race-spec tyres.
